“Starke Stimmen” – Stationen
On 30 November 2019, the “Strong Voices” were part of the info programme at “Spectacolo Amace”, the Foundation’s CharityGala.
Journalist, radio presenter and trans activist Dana Diezemann, MdL and queer policy spokesperson of the Green Party Tessa Ganserer and entrepreneur Mona Griesbeck discussed and argued in a strong voice for the principle of normality for trans* people.
The “strong voices” at the gala were presented by Eva-Maria Popp.
Here are the statements:
Trans* people stand for lived change management process. For personal reasons, they are experts, so to speak. That is why trans* people are an enrichment in every company.
With my company care&work, I have developed the topic of transgender as a counselling offer for companies in the context of the prevention obligation for the mental health risk. This gives me the opportunity to discuss and communicate the transgender issue with entrepreneurs and HR managers. In doing so, I notice again and again that a dialogue at eye level is needed. Above all, it takes time and mutual understanding when it comes to a paradigm shift in the company. ALL those involved in the process need to understand what is going on and do their part to make it successful.
Politicians have a duty and are asked to support trans* people by improving the legal requirements. Any kind of discrimination must be avoided, the pace of rewrites and official processes must become much faster. There is still a lot to do.
